DESCRIPTION
No Reserve Classics is proud to present to you our 1969 Chevrolet Camaro 375HP L78 4 Speed M22 Rockcrusher SS396
Built on 6/16/1969, this Camaro was Sold by Jack Shaw Chevrolet in Ohio and is renowned for the sales of many high-performance vehicles. An X66 1969 Fathom Green Camaro, RPO SS396 V-8 with a 4-Speed Manual M22 Rockcrusher Transmission, this is once again an iconic drivable piece of American History and Americana. It is as Correct as it can get!
As the year 1968 was coming to a close, there was lurking a newly redesigned Chevrolet Camaro brewing in the midst. Wider, longer, and Stronger, the 1969 Camaro was designed with all types of horsepower in mind, from a straight-six 140 HP all the way to the SS396 pushing 375 HP and the Copo 427 pushing over 430 HP! This Turbo-Jet (aka. Big Block) SS396 was a super rare optioned car to still be in existence today, considering there were only 4,889 ever produced! With Multiple correct stampings, shown throughout our photos, this is one Camaro not to miss out on.
This is an SS396 with the optional 375HP L78 engine that has been completely rebuilt and restored. This engine block is a true four-bolt main engine block, which was unique to the L78 engine option. Added for convenience is the passenger side mirror to better assist in today's world of driving.
An underbody of any classic will tell you just how it was restored and or kept, and this Camaro is solid and stout. With a toy-like appearance, this Camaro has been quoted as “The perfect car for Car Shows, Camaro events, and Local cruise nights.” The underbody even has the original floors with no signs of patches or cuts! The entire underbody has also undergone a recent restoration with a ceramic rock protection coating that has been applied to further protect the undercarriage. Getting all of the 375 horses to the ground is an original 12-Bolt rear end with 3.73 gearing and PosiTrac, so no more one-legged burnouts! And lastly, a chambered exhaust has been installed shouting out all of the 375 horses coming from this Turbo-Jet.
With a no-frills interior, this SS has a factory-styled black vinyl interior that has been reupholstered to add more comfort. Grasping a rarely-seen Nk1 Steering wheel connects you to the road.
